Remove Vertical Pegboards Rust Stains With Vinegar

Vinegar dissolves the rust layer on the surface of vertical pegboards. Soak the rusted metal in white vinegar, leave it for a few hours, and then wipe away any remaining rust stains.

Pour a layer of white vinegar on it and leave it for a while. You can also use a rag soaked in white vinegar to wipe away rust stains.

Try using tinfoil dipped in white vinegar and scraping to remove the rust layer. Although the friction of tinfoil is not as strong as the steel wool used to brush the pan, it can also remove the rust layer.

Ordinary vinegar can also remove rust. Soak rusty metal items in it and rinse them off after 24 hours. In this way, there is no need to bother wiping.

Remove Vertical Pegboards Rust Stains With Lime And Salt

Sprinkle salt on the rusty area, then squeeze out the lime juice and pour it over the salt. The more lime juice you have the better, then let it sit for 2 to 3 hours, and finally scrape off any remaining rust stains.

Use the lime peel to scrub away any remaining rust stains on the metal. It effectively removes the rust layer without damaging the vertical pegboard's surface.

If you don't have limes, you can also use lemons instead.

Remove Vertical Pegboards Rust Stains With Baking Soda

Add water to the baking soda and make it into a paste with a consistency that is thick enough to cover the metal. After applying the baking soda paste, leave it for a period of time and then brush it off.

Try brushing off the baking soda paste with a toothbrush, then rinse it off with water.

How much water should be added to the baking soda depends on your own feelings, and there is no standard ratio.

Remove Vertical Pegboards Rust Stains With Potatoes

Cut the potatoes in half and soak the cut side in detergent. They will react chemically with the rust layer and make the rust stains easier to remove. Place the potatoes on the rust layer and leave them for a few hours.

If one is not effective enough, just cut off the used part of the potato, soak the detergent again, and continue to put it on the metal object.

If you don't have detergent, you can also use baking soda and water instead.

Remove Vertical Pegboards Rust Stains With Oxalic Acid

Take precautions before using this method. Wear rubber gloves, goggles, and protective clothing. Do not inhale any oxalic acid gas.

Rinse the rusty vertical pegboards with detergent and dry them carefully.

Mix 25ml of oxalic acid with 250ml of warm water.

Soak the vertical pegboards for about 20 minutes, then clean them with a rag or brass brush.

Wash off all rust stains and dry the vertical pegboards. Finish.
