The Jordan 4 did not return to stores again until 1999, roughly one year after Michael Jordan's retirement from the Bulls. It returned in the two original White Cement and Black Cement, while introducing two LS or Lifestyle models that boasted a Jumpman logo at the heel and leather panels in place of the netting. This addressed to significant growth in popularity of Jordans as casual lifestyle footwear. The Air Jordan 4 was highly popular among sneaker collectors in the 2000s due to its design and scarcity. The model Off-White x Nike Dunk did not release again until 2005 in the highly limited Jordan 4 Laser editions and in 2006 in the Jordan 4 Thunder and Jordan 4 Lightning editions.

By the 2000s, the shoe had become a cult classic. Reissues throughout the early part of the century solidified its street status - and gave way to a dizzying array of makeups - on the way to becoming a subculture fashion staple. The momentum continued as the shoe hit 15, 20, 25 and carries on now at its 30th anniversary. Thanks to the late Virgil Abloh as well as upcoming partnerships with Union LA, A Ma Maniere, and J Balvin, 2022 has really become the year of the Air Jordan 2. And while the calendar is already stacked with releases, it seems we've seen only a fraction of what's in store for us, as leakers have just unveiled a collaboration with none other than Maison Chateau Rouge. A familiar name - as the Paris storefront joined Edison Chen, Melody Ehsani, and many others for the FEARLESS ONES - Maison Chateau Rouge is taking a different approach with the Air Jordan 2. Air Jordans are a line of signature basketball sneakers created by Nike subsidiary Jordan Brand. The first Air Jordan shoe, now known as the Jordan 1, released in 1985 after being debuted by Michael Jordan in the previous year. Models have released on a yearly basis since then, extending from the length of Jordan's playing career to well beyond his retirement. Signature shoes are an exercise in two-sided autobiography. There is the athlete's performance style - which design should capture both technically and visually - and the athlete's personality. Kyrie Irving's oeuvre, the last three versions designed by Benjamin Nethongkome, Nike Off White proves that style and personality can exist in symbiosis.

25. In late 2019, Jordan Brand officially announced Luka Doni as the newest member of its growing roster of athletes. At the time, Luka was just barely into his second season as an NBA pro, but with a Rookie Of The Year hardware under his belt, the Slovenian guard had all the promise to be a perennial force in the NBA, and thus far he's surpassed expectations as a player, a leader, and as an icon of the game. While a signature shoe was pretty much expected as part of the endorsement deal, we can confirm that a number of Off White x Nike colorways of the Jordan Luka 1 signature shoe are confirmed to release in 2022, with specific colorways and tentative release dates laid out below.
